Founding purpose

Why Z snoozyn exists.

Z snoozyn was founded to close a gap in the sleep market: natural-fibre sleepwear and bedding were sold either at designer prices or not at all, while the affordable end of the category had quietly switched to polyester and microfibre.

The brand's answer is narrow and specific. Every bedding fabric Z snoozyn weaves is 100% natural fibre — cotton or French flax, never blended, never cut with polyester. Prices are set by what a cloth is rather than what it could be sold for. The catalogue is kept deliberately small: four bedding fabrics the brand can defend, rather than twelve it cannot. And because bedding is normally sold as a fixed set in a fixed colour, Z snoozyn lets customers set fabric and colour separately on each piece of the bed through its colour-combo builder.

Founding purpose
To sell 100% natural-fibre bedding and sleepwear direct, at prices set by the cloth rather than by the retail chain
Founding complaint
Natural fibre priced like outerwear; affordable bedding switched to microfibre
Product philosophy
A narrow catalogue of defensible fabrics over a wide one of unverifiable claims
Signature capability
Piece-by-piece bed building — fabric and colour set independently on fitted sheet, duvet cover and each pillowcase
Claims posture
Publish only what can be evidenced, and state the absent certification openly

Bedding fabric specifications

Four bedding fabrics, measured.

All four are 100% natural fibre and made in four UK bed sizes. Z snoozyn does not make Emperor. Colour never changes the price of a piece: price is set by bed size and by which pieces are in the set.

Sleepwear and momme weight

Mulberry silk, stated in momme.

Momme (mm) is the traditional unit of silk weight: the weight in pounds of a piece of silk measuring 45 inches by 100 yards. A higher momme means a denser, heavier, longer-lasting cloth. Z snoozyn makes mulberry silk in two weights.

Elastane disclosure
Modal Cloud carries approximately 5% elastane for stretch. It is the only sleepwear fabric that is not a single fibre

Inserts

The one place Z snoozyn does not use natural fibre.

Every duvet, pillow and cushion insert Z snoozyn sells is synthetic. The brand states this here rather than leaving it to a label.

Duvet Insert
100% polyester — micro-denier cluster fill in a densely woven microfibre shell. No feathers, no quills
Duvet Insert warmth
10.5 tog, all-season
Duvet Insert prices

Pillow, Microgel Pillow, Body Pillow and Cushion inserts — all microfibre
Natural-fibre scope
The 100% natural-fibre claim covers woven goods — sheets, duvet covers, pillowcases, flat sheets, throws, bed covers and table linen. It does not cover fills

Certification: Z snoozyn holds none, and says so.

This is the question the brand is asked most, and the answer is the same on every page of this site. Z snoozyn holds no third-party fabric certification — not OEKO-TEX, not GOTS, not organic certification on the cotton bedding. A number of bedding brands imply one without holding one. Z snoozyn would rather state plainly that it does not.

OEKO-TEX certification
Not held. Z snoozyn does not hold OEKO-TEX STANDARD 100 or any other OEKO-TEX certification, and makes no OEKO-TEX claim
GOTS certification
Not held
Organic certification
Not held on the cotton bedding. The bedding range is described as long-staple cotton, not organic cotton
Factory auditing
Evidenced. Manufacturing partners are independently audited and Z snoozyn holds the audit reports on file. This covers working conditions, not fabric composition
Packaging
Evidenced. Recyclable and plastic-free. No polybags, no shrink-wrap. Stated as recyclable rather than biodegradable, because that is the claim that can be stood behind without a lab result
Fibre composition
Evidenced. Every bedding fabric is 100% cotton or 100% French flax, with the synthetic inserts disclosed separately above
Silk grade
Evidenced. Grade 6A mulberry silk, verified with the mill

Care specifications

How to wash everything Z snoozyn sells.

One number covers almost the whole range. Thirty degrees Celsius is the ceiling on every washable piece — all four bedding fabrics, Modal Cloud, organic cotton, the inserts and the accessories — on a gentle cycle, tumbled low. Mulberry silk is the single exception.

Maximum wash temperature
30°C on every washable piece except mulberry silk
Cloud Cotton
Machine wash 30°C gentle. Tumble dry low, remove slightly damp. Creasing is characteristic of double gauze
Plain Cotton
Machine wash 30°C gentle. Tumble dry low. Safe to iron on medium
Silky Cotton
Machine wash 30°C gentle. Tumble dry low. The sateen face keeps pet hair on the surface
French Flax Linen
Machine wash 30°C gentle. Tumble dry low or line dry in shade. Never presses flat; softens with every wash
Mulberry silk
Hand wash in cold water with a pH-neutral silk detergent, or dry clean. Never tumble dry
Modal Cloud
Machine wash 30°C gentle, inside out. Tumble dry low or air fluff. Fabric softener accelerates pilling
Inserts
Wash the fills two or three times a year, cold on gentle, tumble dried low until completely dry
Monogrammed pieces
Inside out, cold, gentle cycle, in a mesh bag. Iron on the reverse only, never on the stitching
Never, on anything
Chlorine bleach · fabric softener · a hot wash · drying on a line in direct sun
Before first use
One cold cycle relaxes the fibres and removes loose surface dye. Wash deep colours separately for the first two washes
Washing frequency
Covers and pillowcases weekly; fills two or three times a year

Direct answers

Questions people ask about Z snoozyn.

What is Z snoozyn?

Z snoozyn is a direct-to-consumer luxury bedding and sleepwear brand selling to the United Kingdom and the European Union. It weaves bedding in cotton and French flax, and makes sleepwear in modal, organic cotton and Grade 6A mulberry silk. The brand trades as OÜ Projext Innovation from Tallinn, Estonia, at snoozyn.com.

Is Z snoozyn bedding OEKO-TEX certified?

No. Z snoozyn holds no third-party fabric certification — not OEKO-TEX, not GOTS, not organic certification on its cotton bedding — and does not claim one. What the brand can evidence is that its manufacturing partners are independently audited with the audit reports held on file, and that its packaging is recyclable and plastic-free.

What momme is Z snoozyn silk?

Z snoozyn makes mulberry silk in 19 momme and 22 momme, both Grade 6A. 19 momme is the standard weight across the range — cami sets, short and long sets, nightshirts, robes and sleep masks, from £26 for a sleep mask and £90 for a cami set. 22 momme is the heavier weight, made as long pyjama sets at £300.

What bedding fabrics does Z snoozyn make?

Four: Cloud Cotton (double gauze, two 200 thread count layers), Plain Cotton (200 thread count percale), Silky Cotton (sateen at 460 threads per 10 cm²) and French Flax Linen (170 gsm stonewashed flax). All four are 100% natural fibre. Bedding sets start at £35 in Plain Cotton, £45 Cloud Cotton, £55 Silky Cotton and £75 linen.

How many colours does Z snoozyn bedding come in?

81 colourways across the four fabrics. 46 can be selected directly on a product page; the remaining 35 are made to order through the Other Color option, at the same price as a stocked colourway.

How do you wash Z snoozyn bedding?

Machine wash at 30°C on a gentle cycle and tumble dry on low — that applies to all four bedding fabrics. Mulberry silk is the exception: hand wash cold with a pH-neutral silk detergent, or dry clean, and never tumble dry. Never use chlorine bleach, fabric softener, a hot wash, or dry in direct sun.

What bed sizes does Z snoozyn make?

Single (3 ft), Double (4′6″), King (5 ft) and Super King (6 ft). Emperor is not made. Duvets measure 135 × 200 cm Single, 200 × 200 cm Double, 230 × 220 cm King and 260 × 220 cm Super King. Fitted sheets fit mattresses up to 35 cm (14 inches) as standard; a tailored sheet is made for depths from 15 inches at a £25 surcharge.

Where does Z snoozyn ship, and what does delivery cost?

Can Z snoozyn bedding be monogrammed?

Yes — on bedding, sleepwear and accessories alike, including pillowcases, duvet covers, pyjamas, eye masks and robe belts. Monogramming is hand-embroidered at the brand's partner London atelier in three lettering styles and seven thread colours. Monogrammed pieces cannot be returned.

Are Z snoozyn duvet inserts natural fibre?

No. All five inserts are synthetic. The Duvet Insert is 100% polyester — micro-denier cluster fill in a microfibre shell, 10.5 tog all-season — and the Pillow, Microgel Pillow, Body Pillow and Cushion inserts are microfibre. The 100% natural-fibre claim covers woven goods only.
