Cloud Cotton
Cloud cotton is our name for double gauze bedding: two fine layers of long-staple cotton woven together and left crinkled rather than pressed flat. The air between the layers is where the softness comes from, and it is why the same set feels light in July and holds warmth in January. It arrives soft rather than needing ten washes to get there. It is the same construction sold as double gauze or muslin, cut for a bed — what cloud cotton actually means sets out the construction, and what the name does not guarantee elsewhere.
Double gauze bedding, piece by piece
Every piece of cloud cotton bedding is sold on its own or as a set: double gauze duvet covers from £39.90, fitted sheets from £29.90, pillowcases from £9.90, and full sets from £34.90 for a single to £164.90 for a super king with the insert. Colourways run from Off White and Oat Milk through Juniper Green and Copper, plus green, blue and black pinstripe. Sets come four ways, so you can take sheet and pillowcases only or build up to the duvet cover and insert; fitted sheets are cut for mattresses up to 35 cm. To mix colours between the sheet, the duvet and the pillows, the bedding bundle builder prices the whole bed as one bundle, and every UK bed and duvet measurement is set out in the UK bed sizes guide. Not a UK bed? Cloud cotton is cut to order, so a continental, US or Australian size — and the table cloth in the same cloth — can be made to your measurements.
