Monogramming

Monogramming

Two letters, and it stops being stock.

Initials embroidered by hand in our London atelier — on sleepwear, bedding, eye masks and near enough anything else we sell. You set the brief below, we reply with a price and a date, and nothing is stitched until you say so.

  • Four characters in the preview, more on request
  • Quoted within one working day
  • Allow four weeks before a dated occasion
  • Nothing charged on this page

Monogramming is stitched after a piece is finished — which is why it is priced by reply rather than added to a cart.

The studio

Set the monogram, then send it to us

Type the initials, choose a lettering style and a thread, and tell us which piece it belongs on. The preview is an impression, not a proof — we confirm the exact lettering with you in writing before anything is stitched.

Shown far larger than life, on a stand-in cloth. A tonal thread sits quietly against its fabric in daylight — that is the point of choosing one.

Most people send two or three. Want a full name, a word or a date? Ask in the notes — the preview stops at four, the atelier does not.

What we can stitch

Sleepwear, bedding, and the small things

Short answer: everything. If we sell it, the atelier can stitch it — what changes is the price, not whether it is possible. These are the pieces we are asked for most.

Mulberry silk robe

Sleepwear

Silk and modal take a monogram beautifully. Silk is the more demanding ground to stitch, which is part of why the quote varies.

  • Mulberry silk pyjama sets, robes, nightshirts
  • Modal Cloud and organic cotton sets
  • Left chest, sleeve cuff or trouser hem

Cloud Cotton pillowcase pair

Bedding

Pillowcases and duvet covers in any of our four fabrics. Two pillowcases with different initials is the request we get most from couples.

  • Pillowcase pairs — Cloud, Plain, Silky, Linen
  • Duvet covers, at the corner or the top hem
  • Stitched before it ships, not after

Mulberry silk eye mask

Small things

The gift that is hard to get wrong: no size to guess, and initials make it personal. A favourite for bridal parties.

  • Silk eye masks
  • Robe belts and collar backs
  • Add gift packaging at checkout

Not on the list? Ask anyway. The limit is what it costs, not what we can do — put the piece in the notes and we will quote it.

Thread and placement

The seven threads we reach for first

A starting point, not a limit. Want a thread matched to a specific colourway, or a lettering style we have not listed? Ask — it shows up in the price rather than in a refusal.

  • Champagne gold
  • Ivory white
  • Soft rose
  • Sage tonal
  • Pewter
  • Ink navy
  • Snoozyn teal
  • Left chest — the default on a pyjama top or robe. Reads as a maker's mark rather than a name badge.
  • Sleeve cuff — visible to the wearer and almost nobody else. The quietest option.
  • Trouser hem — useful when two people in a house own the same set.
  • Pillowcase corner — sits above the fold, so it shows on a made bed.
  • Duvet corner or top hem — the hem version is centred and deliberate; the corner is nearly private.

How it works

Four steps, and only one of them costs anything

Nothing is charged until you have a price in writing and have said yes to it.

  1. i

You send the briefInitials, style, thread, piece, placement. Nothing is charged and nothing is committed.

  2. ii

We reply within one working dayWith a price for your monogram and the date it would reach you. We will say honestly if a heavy print or a finished seam means the stitching will not show at its best — but the answer to “can you” is almost always yes.

  3. iii

You confirm the lettering in writingWe send back the exact characters, style, thread and placement. Embroidery is permanent, so we would rather ask twice.

  4. iv

It is stitched by hand in London, then dispatchedMonogramming happens after the piece itself is finished, so it adds time to a standard order. Allow four weeks before a dated occasion — your quote gives the exact date.

Pricing

Why there is no price on this page

Because it honestly depends. Two letters on a modal cuff and four on silk are different amounts of work, and silk is the harder ground to stitch. Quoting a single number would mean over-charging most people to cover the hardest job. Tell us what you want and we will tell you what it costs, before you spend anything — the answer is almost never no, it is a number.

Worth knowing: personalised pieces cannot be returned or exchanged — once initials are stitched, the piece is yours alone. Confirm the size before you commission one; the size guide has the measurements, and everything unmonogrammed can still go back within 30 days unworn with tags.

Questions

Asked before you ask

Anything else, email support@snoozyn.com — a person answers.

How many characters can I have?

Up to four in the studio preview. Two or three is the most common, and the most legible at the scale a monogram is stitched — for a full name, a word or a date, ask in the notes.

Can you match the thread to my fabric colour?

Yes. Choose “you advise” in the studio above, or describe the colourway in the notes. Matching or sourcing a thread changes the price, not whether it is possible.

Can you monogram something I bought from you earlier?

Yes. Email support@snoozyn.com with the piece and we will quote it. We will say if a heavy print or a finished seam means the stitching will not show at its best — but it can almost always be done.

Is there anything you will not monogram?

Very little. The atelier works on everything we sell, and on lettering we have not put on this page. If something is genuinely a bad idea we will say so before we quote it, rather than after.

I need several sets for a bridal party.

Say how many in the notes and we will quote the set. Order at least four weeks before the date — hand embroidery on a run of sets is the part that cannot be rushed.

Can I return a monogrammed piece?

No. Personalised items are excluded from returns, which is the trade for having something made only for you. Everything unmonogrammed can be returned within 30 days, unworn with tags. Full detail on shipping & returns.

How do I wash a monogrammed piece?

Wash it as you would the fabric itself, but inside out and on the gentlest cycle the fabric allows, and keep the embroidery out of a hot tumble dryer. The care guide has the routine for each fabric.

Can it be sent straight to the recipient?

Yes. Add gift packaging and a gift note at checkout — no invoice goes in the parcel. More on the gifting page.

Everything else is stock. This is the part that is theirs.

Set the initials, send the brief, and we will come back within one working day with a price and a date. Nothing is charged until you say yes.
